Picnic Shelter
Covered area with ½ bath, open-pit fire, and enough picnic tables to seat 80. When not being used for camps and retreats the picnic shelter (along with the pool) can be reserved for birthday, sports team, and other group parties.
A bit of history: The shelter is built where one of the resort hotels used to be. The hotel first went by the name of Merrimac, and later Jefferson. The hotel was an impressive three story rounded corner building that was in too bad a shape when the church bought the property to save. It was torn down and replaced with the shelter in the early years after the church bought the camp.
