APRIL 2024
Projects slated for April-May include the addition of a ramp to Bluefield to make it more accessible, completing the Richmond renovation project, adding ceiling fans into most of the cabins that don't already have fans, and continuing to get Logan renovated by early June for the Nurses to use this summer. ...plus a number of smaller projects. Photos will be added as they become available. Email admin@craigsprings.org if you would like to get in on the action. We can use electricians, plumbers, carpenters, painters, landscapers, and other skilled professionals. BUT, we can also use people to clean, rake, move things, and pretty much anything else you can imagine. Let us know if you are ready to get involved in the mounting excitement!
As of this writing the ramp and Richmond projects are mostly finished. The ramp still needs concrete "pads" added at the bottom of the ramp and steps. Richmond still needs to have some cleaning and painting, and to be outfitted, along with a bit of siding and a landscaping. Both will be finish for use this season. Fans have been installed in Alleghany and Charleston, we still need help to install them in West Virginia, Bluefield, and other cabins.

The new ramp on Bluefield will provide easy access for those who have difficult with steps.
Richmond Renovation

It is hard to show all the work completed, so come take a look for yourself.
The new bedrooms with attached bathrooms on the main floor in Oak will each have a double bed and washstand or dresser. The bathrooms have a pedestal sink and 40" shower. A half-bath (not pictured) on the holl is also part of the renovation.
March 2024: Pictured above are the three empty rooms ready to be renovated into two bedrooms with attached bathrooms. This project will increase the number of ground floor bedrooms from one to three and will also add a "public" half-bath on the hallway. More pictures will be added as work is completed.
