Craig Springs sponsors two work weekends annually. The first is in the Spring and the weekend with the first Sunday of May. The second is Fall Work Weekend and is the weekend prior to Columbus/Indigenous Peoples Day. For 2026 Spring Work Weekend will be May 1-3, 2026. and the 2025 Fall Work Weekend will be October 10-12, 2025. Meals are served from supper on Friday through Lunch on Sunday. You are welcome to attend all or part of the weekend. Links to the online registration and task lists will be posted below as we approach each event.
If you would like to create your own work weekend, or work days contact the Camp Administrator at admin@craigsprings.org.
A Link to the Registration Form will be added soon.
Note: If you are interested in a particular project please email admin@craigsprings.org ... some projects may be completed prior to the work weekend when help is available.
Possible Task List:
Landscaping: This includes leaf removal and working on the various flower beds. We have some equipment but if you are able bring your own so what we have will go farther.
Screening: There are screens on doors and windows that need to be patched or replaced, it would be good if we knew someone was coming to do this to confirm that we have a sufficient amount of supplies.
Ceiling Fans: We still have a few fans that need to be installed ... need to have basic electrical skills.
Small Engine Mechanic: Service, Repair or determine if useful for parts or need to be disposed of.
Firewood Area: Some of the firewood is stacked, but some needs to be split, and the area needs additional clean-up. Plus wood from downed trees over the winter needs to be collected, split if necessary, and stacked.
Painting: The stage area of the Glasshouse needs to be painted as well as the entire Glasshouse ceiling needs. There is also so some spot scraping and painting that needs to be done on the Glasshouse, Central and other Buildings.
Siding Assistance: Need a couple people to help with installing Hardi-Board Siding on Central where rotted siding has been removed ... no skill necessary, just need help holding during installation.
Craft Room ... we are still working on relocating some supplies to a separate storage area and determining which supplies should be disposed of or given away,
Swimming Pool: Shut-down procedures
Clean and repair horseshoe pits.
As we get closer to Fall Work Weekend and know the current status of projects currently underway there may be other specific projects added to the list. Also, some of the cabins are sponsored by Congregations in the Region. These sponsors will have their own list of tasks that are probably not included on this list.
